The Many Faces of Peanut

As always, dinner in the Swanny house is never dull. Our dinner routine is probably no different than yours. Jen and I recapping our days to each other, while Peanut is alternating between telling us she done eating, and stuffing her face when we start to take her plate. We ask Peanut for details about her day at school, with mom, with dad, etc. She happily obliges by singing for us the latest songs from school, and telling us which of her friends got in trouble that day. Obviously, she likes to gossip.

Tonight, we were treated to a game that Peanut and I invented a couple of months ago. "Show me your ____ face." Peanut will pull this game out at any time to get a laugh. It usually works. The games goes like this: "Peanut, show me your MAD face...

"How about your... SAD face...

"How about your... HAPPY face...

"How about your... SURPRISE face...

And then, Jen showed me something new by asking, "Show me your... SILLY face...

and also, "Show me your... SLEEPY face...

Suffiently pleased with herself, Peanut then insisted that we get in on the act...

Ahhh... if there's an age at which this stuff stops being funny, I know it's not thirty.

I love her "mad" face, when you can tell she's trying so hard not to smile. McKenna does the same thing. And good for you two for getting in on the fun. I've seen Jen make that surprised face before, like when we were told were finally "fired".

Of course, we're much more used to each other's "Oh crap, not again" faces. There are a lot of those shared across the table between August and May!

Too true Mrs!! The many faces of therapists is perhaps a blog not appropriate for the family oriented nature/content of My Life w/Dogs or One Carbon Hill. I hope you're thoroughly displaying your "enjoying-summer-break" face!!
I am!!! Well written and documented Swanny!!

Excellent! Great photos too! You're keeping Grammy's desktop supplied with many wonderful backgrounds!

Unfortuneately, we didn't have the camera ready for the "I'm mad as hell, and I'm going to take it anymore!!!" face.

I love getting the great pics, since I don't get to see "Cuttie: that often.

More of them!
