That's our boy!

Surprise, surprise. We were planning on finding out the sex of Baby Langston around January 9th--the date I scheduled just last week for my ultrasound. Well, funny how things work! An unplanned ultrasound completed just yesterday has confirmed what I have been thinking for weeks now....our new little bundle will be a boy!!! To make a loooooooooooooong story short, I had to take a trip to the hospital yesterday after not feeling well most of the weekend with abdominal pains. In the end, I am fine and the baby is fine. The doctor checked me over again today and thinks that with some intervention for an extremely irritable G.I. system, I'll be good as new soon. He did tell me to "rest"--specifically using the words "couch potato" and "feet up". Anyone who knows me can tell you how hard that's going to be for me, but I suppose I can do it for our growing little guy. So that's the big news! The picture above, which they sent us home with, is not of "the goods" but a head on shot...he (and I) were being slightly uncooperative for Karen, the nice ultrasound lady at the hosptial. She had a hard time getting a good profile shot...he couldn't stop moving and I couldn't stop having contractions. Not cooperating....sounds like Daddy already!

Yay, yay, yay, yay, YAY! I just knew it. So happy for you, and glad you're following Dr. E's orders! Did he say anything about your co-workers/roommates joining you in couch potato status?

OK, so I was wrong. I was sure it was going to be another girl. Oh well, congrats anyway. I'm looking forward to having Baby Boy Swanson in our kids yoga class in about ..... 4 years and 5 months.
