This is the Special Olympics Oath.  How appropriate it is for so many different challenges in life.

There is still time to donate to our Polar Plunge team here.  We head into the chilly water of Loon Lake tomorrow at 1:00.  Just wait 'til you see our costumes!!  

At least we can probably be sure that Loon Lake will not look like Lake Michigan did last weekend for the Super Plunge.

(Those crazy, er, brave souls, plunged 24 times in 24 hours into those insane waves on Lake Michigan! )

Thanks to all of you who have shown your support so far.  It's truly amazing how much support we have been given.  It's remarkable to me that a team of 19 people started a journey 3 weeks ago to raise money for the Special Olympians of Illinois and we have gathered over $13,000.00.  It brings to mind the quotation from Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a group of concerned, committed, devoted individuals can change the world.  Indeed it is the only thing that ever has."
