The countdown is on, Baby Swanson's (estimated) arrival date: May 20, 2008!
Here ya' go folks--hot off the press, the first picture of the new Baby Swanson
I know what you're thinking, he or she looks just like Greg! :)
I know it's hard to tell, but Dr. Egglesfield said that the baby has a very strong heart beat. I could see it much more clearly than I saw Peanut's....which after I noted this to the Dr and the nurse, I said, Jeez, I'm already comparing my kids, what a mom! Here is another view:
Crystal clear picture, right?! You can see the head is the part in the lower left and I have to take the Dr's word that we're seeing the back there.
Just wait, by the time I'm 22 weeks, we'll have 3-D ultrasound and a little video to look at to preview the little guy or gal....By the way, we're needing nickname suggestions for Baby Swanson so we can refer to him/her in our blogging....Throw some ideas out...who knows, taking a page out of The Mrs.' book, there just might be a prize involved!

Yep, looks just like me. Like someone shoved a mirror into your uterus, isn't it? Wow, it's like 4:00 a.m. How exhausted am I?
Awwwww! I can see little arm and leg buds, and isn't that little dark circle in the middle the heart? So cute, but I can't look long becaue I can feel twinges of baby fever revving up.
I think Baby will make her arrival on Tuesday, May 8th. Jen's water is going to break about 8:37 a.m., giving me the honor of driving her to the hospital where we'll meet Swanny. I'll also volunteer to keep Peanut company if need be until the reinforcements arrive. I'm also changing my initial prediction - I think Peanut will have a little sister. I'm also reserving the right to change my mind about that at least 5 more times.
Hmmm....now for a nickname. I always referred to the girls as Sweet Pea while they were still in utero. That's all I can come up with right now, but I'll keep working on it!
Mrs, I'm glad to share my room with you....if the fates had been with us (meaning if we had been in school rather than on Christmas break) when I had Peanut, you WOULD have been the one to drive me to the hospital because my water would have broken in our room! :) Who knows what will happen this time!!
I know! I'm hoping this little one is more considerate of my desire to drive a woman in labor to the hospital. Having had two scheduled c/s, I feel cheated out of the excitment of it all.
Of course, if you looked at me from across the room and said, "I think my water just broke" I'd probably simultaneously burst into tears of pure excitement and either throw up or pee my pants in panic. But don't worry - I promise I'd get you there safely, and I'll even start carrying around old towels in the trunk by April just in case!
Mrs, even if Jen goes into labor at home and it's 3:00 in the morning, I'll call you to give her a ride. I'll even kick in the gas money for incredible round trip you'd have to make. One way or the onther you can drive Jen and Baby Langston to the hospital.
