So the New York football Giants are the world champions (of a league made up of teams based in the U.S.), upsetting (literally and figuratively) the New England Patriots. Am I happy? Meh. I guess.
It was a really good game, which is unusual for the NFL Championship, so that's a huge plus. However, I was torn. Despite not liking Bill Belichick, who looks like he's out to shit someone, I don't mind the Patriots. My thinking was that it'd be great to see them go 19-0 and finally shut the smarmy mouths of the 1972 Miami Dolphins.
On the other hand, I don't mind the Giants either. It makes a great story that they overcame the kind of start they had to their season and put an end to the Patriots run. Should I be happier than I am? Are you?

Du is extremely happy!
I am extremely happy. I wasn't necessarily for the Giants, but for Eli Manning!! I was initially torn: attempt at an undefeated season v. Eli Manning, but remembering what the Patriots did earlier in the year sealed the deal for me and so there you have it.
I think that you need to add that the line "out to shit somebody" is a Max Scharer original (my grandfather). I concur, completely about not liking Belichick...I mean does Mr. I-have 2-super- bowl-rings and the best I can wear to the office is a 3/4 sleeves, I cut-off myself sweatshirt not watch What not to Wear?! I felt bad for Brady but was very happy for Eli. I'm glad the game wasn't as much of a snooze as I thought it would be!
The sad truth is that Belichick has 3 championship rings and still wears those friggin' sweatshirts.
