At first, there was lots of excitement with the dogs (thankfully, no fights over the baby yet), but they pretty quickly settled into their respective places on the couch. It turns out, as shown in our header, that Leia's spot happens to be right in Swanny Jr's lap.
Big Sister Peanut adjusted pretty quickly to having a baby in the house. I'm sure the Sleeping Beauty dress up set didn't hurt either.

Can the peace last? Can we survive without increased tantrums and potty mishaps from Peanut? Will Swanny Jr. continue to sleep five hours at a time during the night (like last night)? Can the four us live together without driving each other crazy?

Love the picture of Leia and Swanny Jr. It looks like Peanut is settling in to the role of big sister just fine!
And is Swanny Jr. his official blog name? I don't think anything else would feel right.
Swanny has decided that Swanny Jr. will be his blog name, it's true. When we asked Peanut what we should nick-name him, she answered: Mister.
First, congrats on the new baby, since I've not said so yet. Second, I've got my fingers crossed that the current harmony doesn't devolve into a little new baby tension on you.
You will be amazed how quickly and smoothly you get back into a routine...it's baby number 2 after all, you are PROS!! :) We always did big sibling gifts...when our baby monkey was born my second monkey wouldn't hold him!!! We told him that there was a gift from the baby, but he had to hold him first....worked like a charm. It doesn't look like Peanut had ANY problems adjusting to her new role. p.s. he is adorable!!!! :)
