Change your plans and stop by...

Stop by Waldenbooks in Peru Mall on Sunday, July 27th from 11-2. Friend of the blog J.A. Konrath will be in my store doing a signing for his latest thriller "Fuzzy Navel". Come meet the man behind what is, for my money, one of the best thriller series on the market. Plus, you can ask him what on Earth possessed him to make Jen and I characters in "Fuzzy Navel".

Peru, Illinois is a little out of my way, but I'm always looking for a good book to read. I'll gladly pay for the book and the shipping, if you'd be willing send me a signed copy.

Hmmm, if I can ditch The Dude and HP (Starchy is out of town), I will try to make it down there. I could use a good summer book!

You guys are really characters? Wow. That is totally brag worthy!

I just finished Whisky Sour and Dirty Martini (I was forced to read them out of order due to other Konrath fans using our public library). I read them both within three days - awesome! Perfect summer reading in my opinion.

Can't wait for Fuzzy Navel to make it's way to the Coal City Public Library, especially to read about Jen and Greg!

Let's see here...

bretcb: Really? You can't just swing on down here? C'mon, it's not that out of your way. :) Seriously, just send me an email with who you'd like it signed to and your address. I'll figure out what the shipping will be and let you know a total for the purchase. The book retails for $23.95. It's only in hardcaver, but definitely worth it. Just let me know before Saturday the 26th.

rikki: Just let HP and The Dude run amok at the play area just down from my store. I'm sure they'll be MOSTLY safe. At least you still have a week and a half to figure it out. If you can't make it and want a copy, you know where to find me.

the mrs.: You haven't missed out on too much really. The series works even if it's read out of order... until you reach "Fuzzy Navel". If you can't get "Bloody Mary" (book 2), you at least should read "Rusty Nail" (book 3) before "Fuzzy". "Rusty" is a direct sequel to "Whiskey Sour", and "Fuzzy" is the sequel to "Rusty". "Bloody Mary" and "Dirty Martini" are kind of stand-alone "Jack" adventures.

An e-mail has been dispatched, as requested.

Do your characters have your names? If not, who are they?
