So... been pretty quiet around here, huh?
Here's the rundown. About a week ago, Peanut was enjoying a delicious beverage in the living room. At some point, she picked up her cup, started moving with the cup, and sloshed some water on the keyboard of my laptop. At least it wasn't an out and out spill. I don't want to think about what would've happened then.
It's mainly my and Jen's fault. We know better than to leave the computer sitting on the coffee table when we're done with it. But really, who has ten seconds to put a computer back in it's bag? Apparently, not us.
So, what we're left with is a laptop that sort of works. I can open iTunes and manage my podcasts and music. We can use the touchpad and the mouse buttons. We can get online, but since only half (maybe) of the keyboard works, we can't really get anywhere or even log in.
Thankfully, we do have a desktop to fall back on, but it's kind of lonely sitting in Jen's office, plugging away while she's in the other room watching the gold medal ceremony for the women's beach volleyball.
We're in the market for a new laptop, and are leaning towards shelling out the extra dough for a Macbook. Anybody have any suggestions or advice?

I am an Apple fan. We have been using a Mac since 2004 and will never again own a PC. They are great products and, in my not-so-humble opinion, are the best thing since sliced bread.
