I voted this morning at 6:00; Jen voted at 6:30. Approximately 16 hours later, "change has come to America". Tonight, I go to bed knowing that our country's domestic future and our standing in the world, are in very capable hands.
No matter who you voted for, I'm glad that we are all able to exercise our right to voice our opinion. To echo Jen's post, I hope that from here we can start to move past the insane partisan, racial, and religious divides that have poisoned politics for too long.
"Change has come to America."
Good.
Now, will David Plouffe stop filling up my inbox?

...and my phone! :)
I felt very emotional watching Barack Obama last night. Although I could not vote, I truly feel the new president will make America a better place for my children.
I agree Rikki. I think that I was more emotionally tied to the outcome of this election because I know what the person selected must do for me and for my family. I can only reiterate what Swanny said, I feel hopeful because for once I feel that our future is in VERY capable hands.
Well said! I will admit to being moved to tears last night. I could feel the world change and I am glad my daughter will see this.
